Stephen Caliguiri

With a passion for neon-bright color and precise definition, Detroit native Stephen Caliguiri has been creating acrylic art since the 1960s.

Stephen's work as a precision tool inspector in the aerospace and automotive industries inspired his interest in developing and producing three-dimensional sculpture made up of pieces of acrylic sheeting.  His powerful body of work includes bold and graphic portrait sculptures of celebrities, works that have been exhibited in the windows of New York City department stores and designer shops, from Barneys Madison Avenue to Versace.
