Helen Hyde was an American artist specializing in both Printmaking and Illustration. Educated in the US, she later was inspired by "the loveliness of things Japanese" and later relocated to Japan where she spent the majority of her life learning and mastering the art of Japanese Wood Carving. Common theme in her works reflected Women and their young which is exemplified here in this particular print entitled "My Neighbors" completed in 1913.
